GLORIA MATIAS – FOUNDER

Gloria Matias is the co-founder of IGM Painting. Gloria learned the value of hard work and dedication when she began painting houses to earn extra money at a young age and her passion for painting and art was something that fulfilled her soul but like many busy moms starting a business in painting would be challenging.  Gloria went on to leave her passion in painting and graduated from Hesser College, earning her Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management. She went on to utilize her degree by managing a Business Office at a Multi-Specialty Physician Organization for over a decade.  Having dedicated many years within her profession of Healthcare Management, Gloria’s heart was always with paintings and the field of selling homes.  She became a licensed real estate agent for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts about 5 years ago and found great job in speaking with buyers on color schemes for their homes and how to spruce up the look of their homes.   She also learned a lot about color schemes and paint through her son Ivan and his expertise within the paint and with that knowledge from her young son she would assist and provide her buyers with many ideas for their new homes.

After selling many homes and realizing how much she loved the process of making people feel happy buying homes and making them look beautiful within the world of paint, Gloria chose to utilize her son’s skill set in painting and home restoration and her skills in management and real estate to open up IGM Painting.  IGM Painting is a dream come true for Gloria and to share this company with her son has become such a blessing for Gloria and her family. Gloria believes that there is true meaning beyond a paint brush and that giving her customers an added sense to their home and seeing their newfound happiness in their home is the ultimate goal.

IVAN MONTANEZ – FOUNDER

Ivan Montanez is the owner and founder of IGM Painting.  Ivan has an extensive background in paint, home renovations, and plumbing.  His passion for home improvement began at an early age working with his grandfather doing home renovations and serving as his grandfather’s apprentice. Ivan went on to become a graduate of the Greater Lawrence Vocational Technical School and earned a Certificate in Plumbing.  After graduating from High School, Ivan continued working doing home renovations and loved the painting element of the job, so he picked up a second job at Sherwin Williams Paint store where his passion grew further within the field of paint.  At Sherwin Williams he began to create custom colors to match specific surface colors and would greatly enjoy how his customers would come back into the store pleased with the paint suggestions he provided to them.  After 5 years of being employed at Sherwin Williams where he found his true passion in life and meeting many wonderful customers, Ivan wanted to focus solemnly on using his painting knowledge and skills to open his own business.  In 2018, Ivan opened up IGM Painting and has found his true passion in life within the world of paint.
